Easter 2009 Portrait Call

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Another holiday is approaching… If you are looking for something special to give this Easter, a portrait created by traditional medium might be that perfect gift.

I offer several options of medium choice. If you are looking for simplicity and decor, maybe a portrait in black and white created in graphite pencil or pen and ink would be an option. Looking for a way to portray a colorful character… a portrait created in colored pencil or pastel would be your choice.

To view my complete portfolio of portraits or to submit your photograph for commission, please visit my official website at www.DauneSheri.com

Look forward to hearing from you.

A Vision in Pastel

Friday, March 20th, 2009
This most recent portrait, “Angel in Waiting” is created in pastel.

Luck was on my side when I happened across a tiny little face captured by the lens of a camera. The light cast through the child’s hair impressed on my mind, an almost angelic effect.

I must say I was graced with having made the acquaintance of the photographer, Judithann . To find out this child also happens to be her granddaughter, Abbey, made it all come together perfectly in the end…

The original artwork is part of a private collection and is available for sale by contacting me directly, however prints will be available at Imagekind.com. To view the portrait in more detail please visit my website at www.DauneSheri.com.

Comments are always welcome…
