About
Hello and welcome… Thank you for pausing a moment to take a peek into a small part of my world…
My name is Daune Sheri. I am a realistic portrait artist based out of the rural “Quiet Corner” of Northeastern Connecticut. I work independently in a private studio overlooking the countryside… I am ever grateful for the presence of family and for a remarkable husband whose support has been a turning point in my life…
My art consists of realistic, emotive portraits of children and pets. I work in a variety of medium which include graphite pencil, colored pencil, pastel and pen & ink. I like to believe I see the beauty in the ordinary details that one might try to disguise as something in contrast. To me, this is the meaning of “art left unspoken”…
I look forward to adding new works into a small ongoing portfolio section. In addition, I will also be adding visual imagery on specific medium application. In doing this, I hope to be able to express in words what inspiration moves me to create my work.
Having done a life-time of commissioned based portraits with a strong emphasis on children and pets, I would like to continue with this process by posting commission portrait calls, basically to inform interested viewers I am accepting new commissions for a specific event. This announcement will be made prior to the rush of the holiday seasons, specials days, traditional events, etc.
I will also be introducing several new commission portrait calls that will consist of a basic theme involving several portraits that are related, whether it be through visual expression or emotional impression. Each announced call will inform interested viewers I am accepting commissions for inclusion in the specified call.
Remember, take notice of upcoming Commission Portrait Calls…
Respectfully, please be kind… don’t copy…
Just one more thing… I would love to hear from you… Please leave a comment or any words of inspiration.
Thanks!
